Livelihood development programmes are designed to help improve the quality of living of self help group members by providing them livelihood opportunities and thereby facilitating their contribution to society. KSSS aims at promoting empowerment of SHG members through livelihood development programmes.

KSSS advocates for self-management of SHG affairs by members via regular group meetings, bearing administrative cost and contributing nominal charges for organization’s inputs to ensure active participation and ownership feeling in the entire developmental process.

 

PROMOTION OF TAILORING-UNITS

To support the demand and encourage tailoring as a viable Income Generation Programme, tailoring machines were distributed among the selected members in three batches.1861 members got a total subsidy of `1861000. Members were given an opportunity to pay the price on an installment basis. As part of the scheme the members were provided training on the usage as well as repairing of tailoring machines.

DIFFERENT IGPs

Training was facilitated on various kinds of self-employment opportunities for the common man. Trainings were given in different fields keeping in view the market demand for the IGP. Different IGPs that help to improve the quality of living of self help group members were
