The staff of KSSS and representatives of other charitable institutions such as Greenvalley Development Society etc. attended a one day retreat on March 17 which was organized at the Catholic Metropolitan’s House, Kottayam and drew inspiration and renewed their commitment to works of Mercy. The retreat and meeting were designed as part of Spiritual Lenten Retreat during the Jubilee of Mercy, ‘CARITAS CHRISTI URGET NOS’ for those involved in the charitable services of the Church, according to the instructions given by Pope Francis. The day’s programmmes were inaugurated by Mar Mathew Moolakkatt (Metropolitan Archbishop, Kottayam). The Holy Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Bins Chethalil, Rev. Fr. Bibin Kandoth, Rev. Fr. Mathews Valiyaputhenpurayil, Rev. Fr. Jijo Nellikakandathil and Rev. Fr. James Vadakekandankary with Very Rev. Fr. Michael Vettickat (Vicar General, Kottayam Archeparchy and President, KSSS) as the Main Celebrant. Msgr. Mathew Elappannickal delivered the Keynote Message. In the day’s programmes that were organized by the Social Action Commission of the Kottayam Archdiocese, around 200 persons including religious and laity participated.
