To the people of Kuttanadu, it was a great relief when KSSS & Caritas hospital took an emergency intervention by extending their helping hands to them during the flood.KSSS conducted free medical camp and distribution of medicines in the region with the help of Caritas Hospital. The camp was inaugurated by Mar. Joseph Pandarasseril, (Auxiliary Bishop;Archdiocese of Kottayam)at St.Michael’s Catholic Church,Veliyanadu; and was lead by 25 medical experts from different departments of Caritas hospital. Further, an expert team under the leadership of Mar. Joseph Pandarasseril visited the flood affected families in Kuttanadu area.; and form different committees for relief activities.Also, KSSS ambulance service was made available round the clock for emergency medical needs.Rev. Fr. Thomas Animoottil, (Director, Caritas Hospital), Fr. Sunil Perumanoor ( Secretary, KSSS),Fr. Mathew Kannala and many other priests, nuns & other volunteers took part in the relief activities.
