Health and Hygiene awareness

Many factors influence health and well-being in a community, and many entities and individuals in the community have a role to play in responding to community health needs. KSSS aims at providing quality healthcare at the grassroots level and to make the health care system simpler.

Kottayam Social Service Society in collaboration with Oxfam India and Moms Magic organised a health and hygiene awareness campaign at Peringara, Nedumbran, Niranam, Kadapra, Eraviperoor panchayths of Pathanamthitta district. Health awareness seminar was taken by Mrs. Mamata Pradhan (Public health promotion officer of Oxfam), Mrs. Shinny Lalu, (P.H.P assistant), Mrs. Leena Sibychan and Mr. Jimil Thomas (field supervisors). The programme covered the topics of healthy habits, food safety, and waste management. Games and pledge to conserve water were held in the campaign. 300 people were participated in the program.
