Kottayam Social Service Society as a shelter for the flood victims

Kottayam Social Service Society, the social Service wing of Kottayam Archeparchy coordinated the Relief activities. It served as a relief camp for 321 people during the flood. Also, through the collection centre opened at Chaithanya Pastoral Center,KSSS distributed food packets, drinking water, cleaning items, Sanitary kits etc to the most affected areas.The priests, nuns, diffetent associations, youth wings and medical experts joined hands together in the venture.Hundreds of people also volunteered in coordinating the flood relief activities. During these days, KSSS distributed about 5000 food kits daily to different relief camps.

In the places like Kallissery,Kuttoor,Ranni & Chengannur whrere the flood hitted severely, and in the highrange areas which were terribly affected by land sliding; KSSS & Green Valley Development Society provided emergency services.
