KSSS- CBM joint flood Rehabilitation Programmes with the support of Bharathi Cement was officially inaugurated at Manjadikkari village of Arpookara- Vechoor Panchayath in Kottayam district by Mr. Sunny Pampady (District Panchayath President, Kottayam). Mr. Srinivas Kidambi( CSR Manager, Bharathi Cement) presided over the meeting. Mr.Varghese Chandy (CBM Board member) inaugurated the tailoring unit. Fr. Sunil Perumanoor (Secretary, KSSS), Mr. Jose Zacharia (Marketing General Manager, Bharathi Cement), Mr. Soji Varghese ( 7th Ward Member, Vechoor Grama Panchayth), Mr. Biju Kulagara ( Village Volunteer ) delivered speech during  the occasion. As part of Public Welfare activities, two disabled persons in Manjadikkari were given new boats as means of livelihood. Twenty two boats were given maintenance cost and a common jangar for the community were also provided. Moreover, 40 families of Manjadikkari were distributed poultry units, emergency lamp, table and chairs, ten women in Manjadikkari were given 10 days free tailoring training and tailoring machines, 80 families are provided with plywood for cots and 350 floor mats. In the next stage of the activities rainwater harvesting tanks will be constructed by KSSS- CBM as a solution to the water scarcity prevailed in the area. Around 300 members attended the meeting.
