Official launch of haritha samrithi programme

The official launch of ‘Haritha Samrithi Programme’ implemented with the aim of sustainable conservation of soil, water, agriculture and environment was held at Chaithaniya Pastoral Centre, Thellakom. Shri. Thiruvanchoor Radakrishnan (MLA) inaugurated the programme and Shri. Joy Unnukallel (Municipal Chairman, Ettumanoor) Presided over the function. Fr. Sunil Perumanoor (Executive Secretary, KSSS), Mrs. Marykutty Sebastian ( Gramapanchayath President, Athirampuzha), Mr. Cyriac Joseph ( Programme Coordinator, KSSS), Mrs. Babitha T. Jessel (Programme Officer, KSSS) delivered speech in the promising occasion. The Project will implement in Kottayam, Idukki and Alappuzha districts which were severely affected with flood. Distribution of fishing net for fisherman, promotion of aquaculture, distribution of IGPs like agriculture equipments, poultry units, cattle, goat, duck, and rejuvenation of agriculture land, well, rainwater harvesting unit, well recharge unit, smokeless stove and biogas plant were the programmes proposed under the project. Around 300 members attended the inauguration of Haritha Samithi Programme.
